State employees are joining teachers in the call for more funding and better pay. The Oklahoma Public Employees Association rallied for change on Wednesday in Tulsa.
About 1,000 state workers were among the tens of thousands of teachers demonstrating at the State Capitol Monday.

State employees say they will likely still be walking out on April 2, even if the Senate passes the current revenue bill on the table.
If teachers walk out on April 2nd many state employees say they will too. The Oklahoma Public Employee’s Association (OPEA) says members have been told to take annual leave (vacation time) if they want to participate in the walkout.
